You are able to set the date and time for your Android device, either manually or automatically. In order to do so, open up the Settings app (after swiping down from the top right of the home screen) and then tap on the Date & Time option. Now, the main option at the top of this screen, ‘Automatic date and time’, will source the date and time
automatically from the internet based on your chosen time zone.
However, if you would prefer to set the date and time yourself manually, simply deselect the top option and then tap on the ‘Set date’ and ‘Set time’ options respectively and enter the correct information for your location. Additionally, on the Date & Time options screen, you are able to select the time zone and choose how the date and time are displayed on your device. So you can choose between a 24-hour and 12-hour format for the time, while there are several options for how to display the date, such as day-month-year.
