You can manage your day effectively with Google Now by using voice-activated commands. For instance, first speak ‘OK Google’ and then ask ‘what is the time in Vegas?’ or ‘schedule meeting with Sam’, ‘set alarm 7am’, ‘get directions to Hull’ etc. You may be prompted to fill in extra info, but Google Now will supply you with cards to keep you informed.
You can also use your voice to send text messages or call people. For example, you can say ‘call sister’ and it will ask you to match the contact to make the call. Likewise with text messages, you can say ‘text Donna I’m home’; Google Now will then guide you in sending the message. Alternatively, you can enable the Google Now widget on the home screen to get updates without heading to the app.
