Product means a good, that can be offered to a market for attention, acquisition, use that might satisfy a want or need. Product also include services, events, persons, places, organizations, ideas, or mixes of them.When we fell the needs for our uses somethings, then we buy goods or products from market.Levels of Product And Services

Services are a form of product that consists of activities, benefits, or satisfactions offered for a sale that are essentially intangible and do not result in the ownership of anything.

Product maker or planners need to think about products and services on their levels. They are –

  1. Core customer value
  2. Actual product ( Brand name, Features, Quality level, Design, Packaging )
  3. Augmented product ( Delivery and credit, product support, After sale service, Warranty )

Core customer value: Core customer value means the primary need or basic need. The most basic level is the core customer value, which addresses the question, What is the buyer really buying? When marketers designing a products, they must first define the core, problem solving benefits that consumers seek.

For example,when a girl buying a makeup box, mainly the girl don’t buy the makeup box.She buy beauty for her owns, this is the core benefit to buying the makeup box.

Actual product:
The product planners must be turn the core benefit into actual product. They need to develop their products features, quality level, design, packaging system,and brand name.

For example, when a customer want to buy a packet of milk,at first he or she is looking for a good brands for the milk. Because brand name is always play a important role for selling a product. Then the customer looks the hole packets outlook and read out the features, that how is it making system or what elements are include in the milk. And quality level is also important, the milk what percent is good for human health.

Augmented product:
Finally the product makers or planners must build and augmented product around the core benefit and actual product by offering additional consumer services and benefits. They give some advantages to the customers. Like that after sale service, warranty, delivery and credit support, and product support that means repair or customer care service.

For example, when a customer go to a market for buying a mobile. After buying the mobile set, the company also give a minimum days warranty for its and product support or after sale services to the customer.

When developing products, marketers first must identify the core customer value that consumers seek from the product. Consumers see products as bundles of benefits that satisfy their needs.
