With Google Now you can set up Home and Work addresses so before setting off to work in the morning it will display a card showcasing the distance, the option to navigate and any traffic reports it finds on the route. Vice versa, on the return trip it can display a similar card for the route home. To enable this function, tap on the small wand symbol at the base of the screen and if prompted, set how you usually get around, eg ‘Driving’. Afterwards, tap on Places to add a Home and Work address (or label them however you want).
Now when you go back into the main Google Now interface you should see a card appear (if not, tap the More option at the base or swipe down to refresh), which will display any traffic info it finds along your route to work. Also, you can use the search bar to ask for directions (eg ‘Directions to Beverley’) and if there is traffic along the route, it may display a card of your recent search when you switch back to Google Now.
