Back up your settings Keep your device settings safely stored android tips

We spend quite a lot of time setting our devices up to operate exactly how we want them to and all of this app data, various passwords and other settings are saved to your device. However, if your device is lost, stolen or replaced, it makes sense – and saves a lot of time – to have these settings to hand so that you can pick up on your new Android device exactly where you left off on your old one.

However, if your device is lost, stolen or replaced, it makes sense – and saves a lot of time – to have these settings to hand so that you can pick up on your new Android device exactly where you left off on your old one. To make sure this is possible, launch the Settings app on your existing device and tap on the ‘Backup and reset’ option that is listed within the Personal section. Now simply ensure that the ‘Back up my data’ option is ticked, the right Google account is selected for backup and that the ‘Automatic restore’ option is ticked to ensure that all of your app data is saved. Now your data will be backed up to the Google servers without you having to lift a finger and therefore be available whenever you need it.
